The most important part: your files never leave your device

airgap processes all PDF files exclusively in your browser. There is no upload – neither to our servers nor to third parties. All processing (merging, splitting, rearranging, rotating, deleting, extracting) runs with JavaScript and WebAssembly directly on your device.

Technically guaranteed, not just promised

Our Content Security Policy (CSP) with the directive connect-src 'self'technically prevents the application from sending data to remote servers. You can verify this yourself: open your browser's developer tools (network tab) and observe that no network requests occur while your PDFs are being processed.

No data processing agreement required under GDPR

Since your files never leave your device, we do not process any personal data contained in your documents. No data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR) is required, which makes airgap suitable for confidential company documents.

No cookies, no tracking

airgap does not set cookies and does not use tracking technologies that require consent. No user profiles are created.

Hosting

The static pages of this website are delivered via Cloudflare Pages. For technical reasons, server logs (e.g. IP address, time of access) arise at the hosting provider; these are required for operating and securing the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The contents of your PDF files are not affected – they are never transmitted.
