Your benefits

Your photos stay private – guaranteed by design

HEIC photos are converted right inside your browser, not on a server. Our Content Security Policy blocks any outbound data transfer – something you can verify in your browser's network tab.

Safe even for personal shots

Family photos, site documentation or pictures of contracts and ID cards: since nothing leaves your device, no third-party data processing takes place under the GDPR – no data processing agreement required.

Up to 50 photos at once, free

Convert entire photo series from your iPhone in a single run – no sign-up, no watermarks and no waiting for uploads.

Frequently asked questions

Why does my iPhone save photos as HEIC?

Since iOS 11, Apple has used HEIC (High Efficiency Image Container) because it stores photos at roughly half the size of JPG with the same quality. That saves storage on your iPhone – but causes problems as soon as you try to open the photos on Windows or in older software.

Why won't HEIC files open on Windows?

Windows does not support HEIC out of the box and often requires a paid extension. Many older programs, business applications and web forms also reject HEIC. Converting to JPG solves this, because JPG is supported by virtually every device and application.

Do I lose quality when converting HEIC to JPG?

At the “Best quality” setting the loss is practically invisible. HEIC and JPG are both compressed formats; with a high JPG quality setting, details and colours remain unchanged to the eye.

Are my iPhone photos uploaded anywhere?

No. The conversion runs entirely locally in your browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly. No photo leaves your device and no server is involved in the processing.

How many HEIC photos can I convert at once?

You can convert up to 50 HEIC files to JPG in a single batch. Download the finished images individually or all together as a ZIP archive.

Is this tool suitable for work-related photos?

Yes. Because all processing happens on your own device, you can safely convert work photos such as damage documentation, property shots or photographed paperwork without any third party gaining access.
